Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
One baby was strapped on my back as one crawled inside the playpen. I stayed up all night days, for months, sanding and removing wallpaper, with one child. Ha! The house was starting to look nice, but there were still many things that needed to be left. It was going to take an enormous amount of effort and shopping my favorite furnishings for this house. To stay on budget I began attending estate sales with three brothers to search for jewels in the rough. Each week we would spend the week of Thursday through Saturday at garage sales and estate sales buying brand new furniture. After that, I repainted and smoothed in the driveway throughout the week. The furniture was like this... which is where I found my love for restoration. Even though the house had been decorated, I was unable to put down. I had a space in the market at my local location and sold pieces there. There were numerous pieces that I did not think of a solution and outgrew the space. My house was transformed into a space that I hosted open houses where up 1000 people would be able to view items from my first floor and purchase these items. Growing Days was founded in my house. When my business grew, so did our little family. The balance was between starting a new business and being a mother. Growing Days just seemed to be the right fit. Nora was born in 2013 and became our fourth baby. My business was booming however I needed a break. I decided to stop building my old furniture and be at home with the kids. It was the right time. After a few minutes I began to hear my phone getting busy. They wanted assistance with interior decorating and home renovations. A majority of these were those who had walked through my property during open house for furniture! Then I slowly took on new clients according to my own pace. Soon I had multiple clients, and had a business of home renovations. If you had told me that this business that I started would become the premise of a tv show for the DIY Network I probably would have been astonished. It's true that I laugh when I think about it.
