Katherine Heigl has opened up about how she was raised in an environment that was a "white bubble" and how that revelation has affected the way she parents her adopted multiracial children. In the latest episodes of "Firefly Lane", "Grey's Anatomy" as well as "Grey's Anatomy" actress Katherine Heigl shared that she didn't care about the color of her skin until she came across her adopted sister from South Korea. I asked Meg if when she was she was out with her parents she was treated with a specific manner while out on her own she received a different treatment. Meg responded "Oh, yes, every time!" Heigl said to Parents, "That made me realise that I had been so ignorant." According to the actor she became furious. But, she was determined to channel that anger towards aiding her adopted daughters. Heigl has a son of 4 years and Josh Kelley, her husband over the last 13 years. They were adopted by Nancy Leigh from South Korea aged 12 in 2009, and then Adalaide who was 8 years old and is Black in 2012.
